Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors & Drive Application Areas

Leave a message

A permanent magnet synchronous motor consists of a stator, a rotor, and permanent magnets. The stator windings generate a rotating magnetic field, and the rotor's permanent magnet magnetic field rotates synchronously with it. Its working principle is based on electromagnetic induction and the Lorentz force, and speed regulation is achieved through precise control of the stator current. Compared to traditional asynchronous motors, it eliminates the rotor coil structure, reducing excitation losses.

New Energy Vehicles:
1. Drive System: In 2024, models such as the Chery eQ1 (Little Ant) adopted permanent magnet synchronous motors as their core power source.

2. Energy Recovery: During braking, energy is converted into electricity to generate power.

3. Auxiliary Systems: Drives equipment such as air conditioning compressors.

Rail Transit:
1. In 2016, my country successfully developed its first permanent magnet straddle-type monorail train, demonstrating significant energy-saving advantages.
2. The French Alstom V150 train set a high-speed record of 574.8 km/h.

Industrial Equipment:
1. Industrial automation equipment such as cranes and conveyor belts.

2. Dedicated drive systems for extruders.

Marine and Medical Equipment:
1. Low-noise characteristics suitable for marine propulsion systems.
2. Precision medical equipment such as CT scanners.
